GST BOCES awarded national accreditation by the Council on Occupational Education
The Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE) recently granted accreditation to the Greater Southern Tier (GST) BOCES. The accreditation was announced following a recent meeting of the COE’s Executive Committee.
Accreditation was granted following a thorough evaluation of BOCES programs to demonstrate that they meet the standards of quality set by the Commission, as well as the needs of students, local employers and the community.
The COE has been recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of education offered by the institutions it has accredited. Currently, the Council offers quality assurance service to postsecondary workforce education providers across the country.
By receiving accreditation through the COE, selected GST BOCES programs will be eligible to apply for Title IV Financial Aid.
