NURSE ASSISTING
This course offers you the skills necessary to seek employment in the hospitals, and health related facilities such as nursing homes, home health care, residential care, and facilities for the mentally and physically challenged. You will learn the use of medical equipment, medical/surgical techniques, infection control, and procedures common to health care. In addition, you will acquire basic knowledge vital for a professional health careers such as radiology, physical and occupational therapy, mental health, and nursing.
The Certified Nurse Assistant program emphasizes patient care and Geriatrics. Upon completion of the two year program, you will be eligible to take the New York State certification exam in Nurse Assisting. You will produce a marketable resume during this course.
HEALTH RELATED CHILD CARE (WILDWOOD)
hspace=0This twenty-week topic of instruction introduces all students to classroom management, communicable diseases, child abuse/development/theory/safety, exceptional children, and clinical experiences.
HEALTH ASSISTANT (WILDWOOD)
This twenty-week topic of instruction introduces students in this track to central supply, physical therapy, EKG/EEG, home health and radiology aide, medical assistant, and pharmacy aid and activity aide.
