The CTE Program offers excellent instructors and curriculum.

TEC Program:	Carpentry
Year Graduated:	1987, Odessa-Montour High School
College:	Williamsport Area Community College (now Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of Pennsylvania State University)
Current position:	Owner, S.A.B. Construction Horseheads, New York
Stacey's interest in carpentry and working with his hands led him to the CTE Program. It was a great experience. My instructor took a lot of extra time in working with me, he said. After graduation, Stacey decided to further his knowledge by attending college. My CTE certificate allowed me to gain advanced placement in college and I was able to take more classes to further my skills, he said.
Stacey says: Starting at the CTE Program prepared me for future employment and gave me the skills I needed to work my way up.

TEC Program training gets you in the door and helps you move up the ladder.

TEC Program:	Dental Assisting
Year Graduated:	1982, Horseheads High School
College:	AAS - Dental Hygiene, Broome Community College Currently taking additional college courses
Current position:	Dental Hygienist, Dr. Cesari's Office, Elmira, New York
Having braces as a child peaked Theresa's interest in the dental field. Dental care is a branch of health care that is related to whole body health, she said. Theresa's first step in pursuing her interest was the CTE Program. The CTE Program is a great place to start, she said. You finish with skills that can get you a job and exposes you to many types of careers.
Theresa says: I made the right choice in attending the CTE Program. You have a notch up over others in your chosen field because of the knowledge you gain.

TEC Program:	Nurse Assisting
Year Graduated:	1992, Elmira Free Academy
Current position:	Registered Nurse, St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira, New York
Nykole said her Nurse Assisting program prepared her for the workforce. It was a comprehensive program that included all the elements of an actual workplace, she said. I had a chance to work with professionals already in the field who were very encouraging.
Nykole says: My CTE Program training made me employable right out of high school. I was able to work in my field as I went on to further my education.

Ryan Morey		Dawn Thorpe
Ryan, a 2003 graduate of the CTE Computer Network Technology Program, is studying computer networking at Rochester Institute of Technology.		Dawn is a 2001 graduate of the CTE Early Childhood program, and is now the lead teacher in the infant room at CJ's Country Kids Childcare Center in Big Flats.
Ryan: The CTE Program helped me prepare for college. The knowledge I gained has made my coursework easier. In fact, a lot of the my college courses are covering material I already learned in the CNT Program.		Dawn: I wouldn't be in the position I'm in today without my CTE Program training, and I'm still using the skills I learned in my job today. The instructors were excellent and very supportive.

Tina, a 1995 graduate of the CTE Dental Assisting program, is a certified orthodontist's assistant at Orthodontic Associates of the Southern Tier in Elmira.		Beau is a 2004 graduate of the Conservation program. He works for Wenzel Landscaping.
Tina: I enjoy my career and I couldn't have done it without the CTE Program. I was wellprepared for working in a dental office due to the hands-on experience I gained in the Dental Assisting program.		Beau: Deciding to go to the CTE Program was the best thing I've ever done. I enjoyed all aspects of the program and my instructors were really helpful.
Robert Stanley		Matt Kramarik
Robert, a 2004 graduate of the CTE Computer Network Technology Program, is currently serving in the United States Army.		Matt is a 2002 graduate of the Security/ Protective Services program. He is a Security Officer with Elmira College Campus Security.
Robert: My CTE course offered the best technology anywhere - even better than many college programs. CNT was the best class I've ever been in. It feels a lot more like working a job rather than being in school.		Matt: My CTE Program gave me a lot of confidence in my ability to perform in a security position. I gained a lot of experience that I apply in my career now.
