Early Childhood Education -- Offered at the Bush Campus only

This course prepares you to work in a daycare center as an early childhood assistant. In cooperation with the Head Start Program, located only at the Bush Campus, you’ll work with children aged six weeks to 12 years to assist you in developing vital job skills. As part of this program you’ll participate, with teacher’s approval, in a public or private school classroom.

As an Early Childhood student, you’ll be prepared to seek employment as a private-care nanny, in public and private daycare centers and in agencies serving the disabled. You’ll also be well–prepared to continue your education in early childhood education or elementary education or to establish your own home or family day care program.
