Student

Luca is a first grade student in Mrs. Collins class and Mrs. Jacob's art class at Riverside Elementary School in the Elmira City School District. His favorite art form is clay sculptures

His favorite subject matter is "Nature."  He wants to work with clay this summer.

Luca has won art awards for improving effort, and being an exceptional role model in the art room for always doing the right thing. Also Luca has won special recognition for being an awesome helper in the art room all year, because he helps clean up other peoples messes and his own without even being asked!

Luca states“ I liked making the sculptures with the artist Margie Cohen”

When asked what he learned, Luca stated; "I learned that bricks are made of clay and that clay comes from mountain rocks."

Luca’s mom, Mrs. Solometo, is an art teacher in another school in Elmira, Broadway Elementary School.
