Primary Students: Using the web with primary students is sometimes a tricky situation because there are so many inappropriate sites that little ones do not yet know how to avoid. For 3-7 year olds, there are some excellent web browsers for children that give small children access to the web in a safer online environment than IE and other commonly used web browsers.

Parents must still be vigilant and monitor their children online, but these kid-friendly web browsers offer an added layer of protection for little ones discovering the web. Here is a video about one kid-friendly web browser called "Kid-Surf" (www.kid-surf.com) explaining how to download and use it with kids:
