At GST BOCES, we offer many different types of technology integration courses through our Model Schools Program.  Our trainings take place at the Instructional Support Center; and they cover a wide variety of integration strategies to enhance lessons across the curriculum.

I thought it might be helpful if I mentioned and described some of the courses suited to Primary educators, so you are aware of them the next time you receive our ITT Brochure:

• Developing Technology Rich Projects - this is a 15 hour course where you learn a variety of strategies for integrating technology into your curriculum and also develop your own tech-rich unit
   

• Developing a WebQuest for Your Classroom – you will have time during this 15 hour course to develop your own WebQuest
   

• Excel I, II, & III - creating charts and graphs to compare data, self-checking exercises, etc.
  

• Google Docs and Google Apps - learn about a variety of free web 2.0 technologies available online through Google that can enhance your classroom management, planning, and lessons in these classes
   

• Internet Safety - learn strategies for teaching kids to safely navigate the world wide web
   

• Kidspiration - diagram topics, create and use your own templates, locate templates available in the program, etc...
  

• Podcasting - learn to create audio and video podcasts for a variety of educational purposes
   

• PowerPoint I, II, & III - learn to use PowerPoint and then how to develop learning modules for (and with) your students with recorded sound, navigation buttons, images, and animation
   

• Publisher - newsletters, brochures, greeting cards, mini booklets, posters, etc.
   

• ToolboxPro - create multimedia tests, interactive educational games, a website to promote home-school communication and more with this program from GST BOCES IDEAS team
  

• Wiki Workshop- learn how to set up a wiki to use as a classroom website, a collaborative writing space for you and your students' use...
   

• Word I, IIA-D - learn to use Word in many different useful ways to enhance student learning
