Food Service Management Program
Our motto is "We Serve Education Every Day!"

Our Goals: To provide GST districts with a resource to help them better understand and manage the complex systems associated with running The National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. Financial pressures have hit the industry We work with you to meet your goals for your food service program. We are also here to help you with stay abreast of the new laws related to school lunch, including the Wellness Policy and HACCP Food Safety requirements that went into effect as of July 1, 2006.

What We Do: Everything that relates to school food service. This includes, hiring and training managers and staff, invoice coding and tracking, inventory control; recipe books, nutrition analysis and portion control all to help standardize your kitchen operations; free and reduced price application processing, state of the art point of sale equipment and software available at a fraction of the cost of commercial packages, meal count and daily sales information, reimbursement tracking and reporting, ordering and maximizing the use of government foods, detailed monthly financial reports, and statistical comparisons to the component regional schools to make sure you are in the ballpark for all the industry benchmarks like food cost per meal and meals per labor hour. We help you to maintain a high quality program in every aspect.

We currently provide service to 15 local schools districts with 25,750 students serving approximately 20,000 meals per day while managing a total food service budget of almost $10.5 million dollars. Currently 44% of our students receive free or reduced priced meals. The average cost of a meal served is $2.68 while the average selling price at an elementary school is $1.33, a middle school is $1.53 and a high school is only $1.56. This is made possible because of BOCES program efficiencies and the federal and state funding to the National School Lunch Program.
