The GST RIC Test Scoring department provides school districts with test answer materials as well as assistance with Test Scoring procedures, Data Warehousing, and Regents Item Analysis.

The Test Scoring service is provided for all NY State Tests and selected publisher tests. The service includes pre-printed answer sheets, labels, class rosters, and instructions/directions. When the district returns answer sheets to the GST RIC Test Scoring Department, the answer sheets are scanned, edited and data is submitted to the regional data warehouse. The test results are electronically stored making reports and electronic data available at any future point in time via Data Mentor and/or Cognos. NY State Test data is also loaded to the Data Warehouse for accountability purposes.

The Regents Item Analysis service is provided to interested districts for the following Regents exams: Math A, Math B, Comprehensive English, Global History, US History, Earth Science, Living Environment, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish. The service requires that districts use special answer sheets in place of the tear off answer sheet at the end of the Regents exam booklet. After local scoring is complete, the sheets are returned for processing and item analysis reports are produced. The opportunity to sign-up for this service is provided each December (for January exams) and April (for June exams).
