GST BOCES aids in the teacher certification application process to those employed within the GST BOCES region. The GST Regional Certification Officer guides new graduates who are applying or working toward certification, certified professionals looking to add additional certifications to their teach account and out-of-state applicants looking to transfer their certification to the Greater Southern Tier BOCES region. We assist with the processing of required documents to NYSED for teachers, teaching assistants, pupil personnel services staff and coaching licenses. This service acts as a liaison between current / potential instructional staff and the New York State Education Department as well as our 21 school districts.

In-person office hours are available on Wednesdays from 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm. Please call ahead to reserve a time slot.
