GST BOCES -

GST BOCES Instructional Support Services (ISS) recently hosted a comprehensive full-day gathering, bringing together 70+ regional literacy and school leaders.  The event was designed for active participation, featuring dynamic learning sessions and discussions centering on the New York State Literacy Initiative and the seven newly released Literacy Briefs.  In a hybrid webinar format, attendees immersed themselves in statewide learning opportunities facilitated by New York State Department of Education (NYSED) and Dr. Nonie K. Lesaux, Ph.D. from Harvard University, and GST BOCES ISS facilitators.  Additionally, participants engaged in in-person discussions and collaborative planning aimed at deepening their understanding of evidence based literacy practices spanning PreK-12, the Science of Reading, the role of writing, and high-impact instructional practices.  A delicious lunch was provided by GST BOCES Coopers Culinary students. #PROUDTOBEGST #GSTBOCEScollaboration
