GST BOCES Bush Campus Cosmetology program now services 7 local elementary schools within the Elmira City, Elmira Heights and Horseheads School Districts with free haircuts!
Since September 2023, our Bush Campus Cosmetology students have given 533 haircuts to local students. With the average haircut for a child costing $15, our program has saved these families over $7,900 so far this year! Our students are making an impact on the community and seeing how this affects all aspects of students' social-emotional learning.
This collaboration has fine-tuned our students' practical skills, soft skills, time management and confidence.
