🎉 PBFT Bush Campus wrapped up our first-ever hygiene drive in a big way! With the incredible support of Corning Credit Union, Elmira Wegmans, and the United Way of the Southern Tier, our students collected over 2,500 items and assembled 85 hygiene packs for students in need at Broadway Academy. 🧼💙 This powerful project taught our students the true meaning of community service, aligning perfectly with the GST BOCES value of service. 💥 Real Heroes Walk Among Us 💥 While most students headed to their next class, three incredible young men ran toward a crisis. This past fall, during a severe asthma attack that left their teacher struggling to breathe, Tucker, Edwin, and Aiden didn’t panic — they acted. 🫁 Tucker and Edwin quickly got help, opened windows, and searched for a fan to clear the air. 🌬️ Aiden, just arriving, jumped in to ventilate the room, propped doors open, and even fanned air through the windows. 🔌 Together, they found power for the fan, cleared the air, and stayed by their teacher until she was out of danger. Thanks to their courage and teamwork, a hospital visit was avoided. These students didn’t just do the right thing — they showed what quiet leadership looks like in action. Last week, the Arthur H. Cunningham Unit 440 President MacKenzie McDaniels came to our Wildwood Campus to present 3 Youth Hero Awards. 🏅 We’re proud to recognize these three students for their heroism and heart.
