We are proud to recognize Mason for his outstanding achievement as the 2025 New York State SkillsUSA Champion in Welding. Mason earned the top spot in the state and went on to represent New York at the National SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, competing against the best welding students from across the country.
The national competition is rigorous and based on industry standards set by the American Welding Society (AWS) and other leading welding organizations. It challenges competitors with a comprehensive scope that includes a professional resume, a written examination, and hands-on welding tests across multiple processes and techniques.
Mason’s success is a testament to his hard work, technical skill, and commitment to excellence in his trade. His preparation and performance at this prestigious event exemplify what it means to be a skilled professional in today’s workforce.

This week in Baking Boot Camp, students rolled up their sleeves to master yeast and quick breads. From lemon poundcake muffins to apple cheddar scones, monkey bread, and classic lean dough—their creations were as impressive as they were delicious! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Our elementary ASD classrooms in the Elmira Heights host sites ended the year with lots of fun on field day.

Our 12:1:3 classroom housed in one of our Elmira Host sites found a way to beat the heat and celebrate the end of the school year!

Our students from the Thomas Edison Host site enjoyed the Crusaders Carnival at Notre Dame. Lots of fun, food and laughs!

Career Development Council, in collaboration with the staff at Winfield Elementary School @CPP Schools, hosted an Elementary Career Day for the Scholar-Roos. The Roo’s heard from presenters about space, park ranger, graphic design, carpentry, food education, fire fighters, police, including K9’s from the City of Corning and the NY State Police, and did some hands-on activities with NYSEG.
