Our Automotive Technology program puts students in the driver’s seat of hands-on learning. From routine maintenance to engine replacement, this program covers it all using industry-level diagnostic equipment—the same tools found in professional auto shops.
Students build real-world skills in brakes, steering, suspension, engine repair, fuel and electrical systems, computer diagnostics (OBDII), 4-wheel alignment, and New York State inspection procedures. You’ll also gain experience with MIG welding, oxyacetylene torch operation, tire equipment, and automotive lift safety.
Even better? Students can earn up to 10 student-level ASE certifications, giving them a strong advantage as they move into the workforce or advanced training.
If you’re ready to turn your interest in cars into a career, this program helps you get there—hands-on, in the shop, and ready for what’s next. 🛠️

New Visions Engineering Takes Flight!
We’re in full swing this week in NVE! Yesterday, we welcomed Mr. Randy Fatula into the classroom to share insights into his role as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Students learned how computer systems are integrated into military aircraft and explored real equipment during a hands-on learning experience. ✈️
It was an engaging and informative visit—and we even captured a few great photos!

What. A. Week. in New Visions Engineering!
This past week was packed with learning, hands-on experiences, and excitement from start to finish! We kicked things off with powerful public speaking speeches, then dove into Excel skills—learning how to create templates and import data like pros. ✨
On Thursday, we jumped into company rotations where students get hands on learning in the engineering field with participating companies, and to wrap up an amazing week, we traveled to Siemens Energy to see engineering in action! ⚙️
During our visit, we watched lathes, milling machines, and other rotating equipment at work, explored the assembly building while learning about measurements, checked out reciprocating engines, and even got a demo on using a borescope! A huge thank you to Emily and the team at Siemens Energy for welcoming us and giving us such an incredible experience. 🙌
This week truly opened our eyes to the many exciting paths in engineering—and we can’t wait for what’s next in NVE! 💡🔩

Thanks to their compassionate initiative, they were able to donate 62 new manual can openers to the Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston Food Pantry in Hornell.

The Corning-Painted Post Sophomore Career Day is an engaging event designed to introduce high school sophomores to a variety of career paths and opportunities. This Career Day features presentations and workshops conducted by professionals across different industries, allowing students to gain insights into various professions and the skills required to succeed in them. By interacting with industry experts, students can explore their interests, ask questions, and receive guidance on educational and career planning. This initiative not only broadens students' horizons but also helps them make informed decisions about their future studies and potential career paths. We’re excited to share that students from the Innovation, Leadership, and Business New Visions program at the Coopers Campus recently volunteered at the Pantry of Angels in Lindley, NY. Their hard work and enthusiasm made a huge impact, saving the food bank staff from some late nights.
Throughout the day, students sorted donations, organized shelves, and prepared food for families to pick up. The food bank staff praised their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude, noting how much their efforts reflected the values we strive to instill in our school community—leadership, collaboration, integrity, and service.
The experience was so rewarding that the students are already planning a return trip to assist during a busy Thursday evening. We couldn’t be prouder of their commitment to helping others!

The Wildwood SkillsUSA Chapter understands the true power of generosity. The holiday season can be challenging for families facing difficulties. The Wildwood SkillsUSA Chapter organized a food drive for students and families from campus, contributed $500 towards buying food for the drive, and bought two $150 gift cards to support two families in need for their holiday meals. #PROUDTOBEGST #GSTBOCESgivesback #SkillsUSA
