The Bush Campus Dental Assisting students recently took their skills — and confidence — on the road! 🦷✨
Over three days, they visited Cohen Middle School to present the Dental Assisting program and share what it’s like to work in the profession with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. What made this experience extra special? The students took the lead from start to finish — they even reached out to Principal Foley themselves to organize the presentations! 👏
This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to practice leadership, communication, and professionalism while inspiring the next generation to explore the world of dental care. 💙 #PROUDTOBEGST #GSTBOCESleadership #PreparedatGSTBOCES

At our Wildwood Campus, Cosmetology students are diving into textured hair techniques — and one of our talented juniors is taking the lead! 🙌 They’re teaching classmates how to master two-strand twists, breaking down each step in a hands-on demo.
This peer-led session is more than just a lesson in styling — it’s a great example of collaboration, confidence, and creativity in the classroom. 💫

🚓🩺 Honoring Those Who Serve 🚒💙
Our Wildwood Campus Criminal Justice and Nursing Assistant students recently hosted a special breakfast for local first responders — a morning filled with good food, great conversations, and even greater gratitude.
Police Officers, Nurses, Firefighters, Corrections, and Military members joined us for a warm and casual gathering that turned into something truly meaningful. The room buzzed with stories, laughter, and shared experiences as students asked thoughtful questions about career paths, daily challenges, and the realities of public service.
This wasn’t just networking — it was connection. Students gained real insight into what it means to serve and protect a community, while our first responders saw the passion and potential of the next generation preparing to follow in their footsteps. 👏 #PROUDTOBEGST #GSTBOCESservice #GSTBOCESculture

Creativity was in full swing in Cosmetology! ✂️💄
Students got to show off their imagination (and costume flair!) during a recent friendly updo competition — but with a twist! Each team received a bag of random items — think clips, straws, ribbon, pipe cleaners, sponges, and even a small trash bag — and had to use every single one to create a themed masterpiece. 💡
From spooky styles to runway-ready looks, students had a blast thinking outside the box and turning everyday objects into works of art. 👏
A fun day filled with laughter, creativity, and some seriously impressive hair! 💇♀️🎨 #PROUDTOBEGST #GSTBOCESculture

Schwartz Pumpkin Patch Fun!
The New Visions students and staff on the Wildwood Campus had a wonderful time collaborating with High City School District and spending the day with their amazing Pre-K and 2nd grade students at the Schwartz Pumpkin Patch!
We teamed up with PE Teacher Mr. Johnson from the Wildwood Campus, who built an incredible pumpkin catapult and even created frog and pumpkin targets! He also hand-crafted a tree that puffed out “smog,” which was another big favorite among the kids and added an extra touch of fun to the day! Thank you, Mr. Johnson — these were definitely a hit!
Our New Visions students brought the excitement with face painting, games, a pumpkin trebuchet, and a pumpkin launcher. Some of our high school seniors even showed up in costume, adding an extra touch of fall magic to the day.
Of course, no fall adventure is complete without fresh cider and donuts—the perfect treat after all the activities! Thank you, Lains Cider Mill for the generous donation!
A huge thank you to the Schwartz Family who made this event such a memorable and joy-filled experience for everyone.
