Here are a few snapshots from our free haircut event at Riverside yesterday! These are some of the awesome kids we saw in the afternoon—but in total, our cosmetology students completed around 50 haircuts in one day!
Today we went to Diven, and with this visit we’ll officially pass 500 free haircuts provided this school year! 🎉
We are so proud of our talented students for giving back to the community and gaining real-world experience along the way.

This past weekend, our Coopers Campus juniors and seniors from the cosmetology program put their skills to work by helping with hair and makeup for the incredibly successful production of Anastasia.
Students had the opportunity to learn how to take direction, work in a fast‑paced environment, make quick decisions, and channel their creativity into every look. They worked alongside professional stylist Lilly S. from Collage Salon in Corning, gaining real‑world experience and confidence.
The cast’s appreciation was clear, and our students had an amazing time being part of such a beautiful production. We’re so proud of their professionalism, teamwork, and talent! 💇♀️💄🎭

Over the weekend,, seven Coopers Campus FFA members attended the District 8 Leadership Development Event Competitions! When they weren’t competing, our students jumped in to serve—helping pack over 10,000 meals for the local community food bank. What an amazing way to combine leadership with service!
Our chapter competed in three different prepared speech events, and we are proud to share that each student placed high enough to advance to Substates! 🎉
They’ll be heading to Alfred State College in March to compete in the next round. We couldn’t be more proud of their dedication and hard work—both on and off the competition stage.

Our Wildwood Building Construction Class of 2026, led by Teacher Rob Lemay and Teaching Assistant Sam Forenz, recently partnered with the Exceptional Education Western End Preschool Programs on a very special project. The construction students designed and built a beautiful custom sensory table that will be part of a new sensory space created especially for preschoolers.
This hands-on project gave high school students real-world building experience while creating a meaningful resource that supports early childhood development, exploration, and play. Seeing our older students use their skills to positively impact our youngest learners is what BOCES is all about.

A key part of this program is real-world experience. Students participate in a clinical placement one day a week in local dental offices, with an optional partial summer experience, gaining confidence in a professional setting.
After successful completion of the program and 200 hours of internship, students are eligible to sit for the New York State Dental Assisting Certification Exam.

Lillee’s Pad stands as one of the largest and most meaningful projects our campus has ever taken on. Students across multiple programs have come together, using their hands‑on skills to build something that will make a lasting difference for families in our community.
From planning and design to construction and finishing work, our students have shown what happens when talent, teamwork, and purpose come together. This is SkillsUSA in action—students using their skills to create real‑world change. Here is a throwback to the 5K Run/Walk/Kid's Fun Run that our students hosted last Spring, with the sponsors that helped make it happen!
We’re excited to share that we are planning a spring grand opening to celebrate the completion of this amazing community service project, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to see the incredible results of our students’ hard work. 🌷🔨❤️

This program blends classroom learning with real-world experience in forestry, wildlife, land management, sustainability, and environmental science.
Students gain exposure to greenhouse operations, nursery and landscape management, and the safe operation of modern, state-of-the-art equipment. Certifications may include Natural Resources Science I & II, Erosion Control, First Aid/CPR, and all four NYS Hunter Education disciplines.
As an approved Precision program, students complete nationally standardized exams to earn national certifications in Natural Resources and Greenhouse & Landscape Management. Leadership development is also a key component through FFA and communication-focused coursework.
If you enjoy working outdoors, don’t mind long days in changing weather, and want a career focused on conservation, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, this program lets you make a real impact—where it matters most. 🌿
