The Corning-Painted Post Sophomore Career Day is an engaging event designed to introduce high school sophomores to a variety of career paths and opportunities. This Career Day features presentations and workshops conducted by professionals across different industries, allowing students to gain insights into various professions and the skills required to succeed in them. By interacting with industry experts, students can explore their interests, ask questions, and receive guidance on educational and career planning. This initiative not only broadens students' horizons but also helps them make informed decisions about their future studies and potential career paths. Students Make a Difference at Local Food Bank!
We’re excited to share that students from the Innovation, Leadership, and Business New Visions program at the Coopers Campus recently volunteered at the Pantry of Angels in Lindley, NY. Their hard work and enthusiasm made a huge impact, saving the food bank staff from some late nights.
Throughout the day, students sorted donations, organized shelves, and prepared food for families to pick up. The food bank staff praised their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude, noting how much their efforts reflected the values we strive to instill in our school community—leadership, collaboration, integrity, and service.
The experience was so rewarding that the students are already planning a return trip to assist during a busy Thursday evening. We couldn’t be prouder of their commitment to helping others!

Students from Wildwood's Criminal Justice program and the SkillsUSA Leadership team worked together to support the Toys for Tots foundation in Steuben County. Donations were collected from campus clubs, spare change, teachers, and students, leading to $873 being raised for purchasing toys. Additionally, toys were donated throughout the campus. #PROUDTOBEGST #CommunityOrientedatGSTBOCES
Career Development Council partnered with the Corning Museum of Glass in November to host CMoG Career Day for almost 100 local students. The day gave students a behind-the-scenes look at careers in everything from art conservation and marketing to graphic design and security management. They got to chat in small groups with career experts, watch a hot glass demo, and enjoy a guided museum tour—making it a fun and inspiring learning experience for everyone! Our thanks to everyone at CMoG for helping make this event so special!
